Argentina beat Brazil in Qatar to win the World Cup


   The 2022 Qatar World Cup will be screened on November 21. The next day, the Argentine football team will face Saudi Arabia in their first match. Apart from Saudi Arabia, Albiceleste will face Poland and Mexico in Group C.


Although this is the first time that Qatar is hosting a major tournament, Argentina already has the experience to be the champion in Qatar. Even in an event like the World Cup.



Qatar hosted the 1995 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Argentina defeated Brazil in the final of the World Cup. Jose Pekerman's side lost 2-0 to Brazil in the final on April 26, 1995.


Argentina's first title in the Under-20 World Cup was in 1989. Cesar Luis Menotti was the coach of the team and Diego Maradona was one of the main weapons of the team.


Argentina then won the Under-20 World Cup for the second time at the 1995 edition in Qatar. Leonardo Beagini and Francisco Guerrero scored two goals in the final against Brazil.



Argentina beat Cameroon 2-0 in the quarterfinals and Spain 3-0 in the semifinals to become champions. In all, they had five wins and one defeat. The only defeat was against Portugal in the group stage.

Sebastian Pena was the top scorer in the Under-20 World Cup in Qatar. He scored three goals. Leonardo Beagini, Francisco Guerrero and Walter Quet scored twice each. Huakin Irigatia was named the best goalkeeper of the season.
