Last year's world champion France got a place in D-group. They are accompanied by Denmark and Tunisia. The fourth team in this group will be the UAE, Australia or Peru. Messi's Argentina will play in Group C against Lewandowski's Poland. The other two C-group teams are Saudi Arabia and Mexico.

The draw for the group stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup took place in Doha, Qatar. In the presence of Kafu of Brazil, Lothar Mathews of Germany, Tim Cahill of Australia and Ali Daied of Iran, the teams going to participate in the World Cup in Qatar were divided into eight groups.
Five-time world champions Brazil are in Group G. Their group includes Switzerland, Serbia and Cameroon. Perpetual rivals Argentina are in Group C. Their groupmates are Mexico, Poland and Saudi Arabia.
Portugal is in the most difficult group. Their partners in Group H are Uruguay, Ghana and Korea. Germany is also a close group. They are in Group E with Spain and Japan. The fourth team of this group will play in the qualifiers.
